Cherry Blossoms!

So a couple weeks ago I was able to photograph a family in front of the cherry blossoms.  Honestly, this was not the best session ever - it had poured in the morning, so there was standing water everywhere; it was warm and humid, so my subjects were hot; and it was naptime, so there were a distinct few of us who would rather have been somewhere else. :)  But, the cherry blossoms were beautiful, we had a good time, and we enjoyed coming up with a few good images of this sweet family.

Out in front of the Jefferson Memorial.

I love this one. :)

Beautiful Girls

I had the privilege of photographing these two precious little girls in my studio a couple weeks ago. They lost their daddy a few months ago, but their sweet attitudes and beautiful smiles remain. Thank you to their mama for allowing me to photograph her angels.

Blessings

It has been quite a while since I've posted on here... sorry for that! Even after months of being in our new home, we are still dealing with the after-effects of the move and what that does to a business, etc. I am starting to get some clients again, and I am sooo excited!! This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a little guy who I have snapped photos of before, when we all lived in Florida. They have also moved into the metro DC area, and we were able to catch up with them and not only sweet little Luc, but also his new sister Meizi. These two little ones are on the go, high-energy toddlers who are both beautiful! - and for their proud mama and daddy, almost like having twins! The photographs were super fun, and we also enjoyed some catching up with our friends over supper! Here are a few shots from the session - Amanda & Brad, I hope you enjoy the "teaser" - more to come soon!

Here's the proud daddy with his new daughter:

Two super-cute smiles from two super-cute babies!

And big brother Luc:

Mama and her girl - love this pic!

Reading to the kiddos... they look so calm in this photo, but this was before she was pushing him, and he was hitting her, and they both were crying... :)

Even without smiling, he is so amazingly adorable. Another favorite of mine!

Could she get any cuter?!

Little Angel

A couple days ago I had the privilege of photographing 4-month-old Wyatt. This little guy was by far the most easygoing, pleasant-natured baby I've had the joy of working with. Throughout the entire hour and a half session, he never once cried or fussed - he just grunted and growled a little bit when he got annoyed. He is so adorable! Thanks to his mama for allowing me to capture a moment in his life. I hope the preview tides you over - the rest of your proofs will be posted in a gallery soon!

The Princess and the Frog

Today I photographed a little princess and her big brother for the second time. Cheyenne is 4 months old and Chase is 2 years old. She was a great subject today, all smiles and laughs, but he was not so accomodating! Even in his fun frog Halloween costume, he was not happy to be there. We still got some great shots, but some of my favorites are the ones of him looking a little defiant. Hope their mama enjoys this little preview - the rest should be online tomorrow!

All Boy

This little guy is ALL BOY. He chased the chickens, was virtually unafraid of the horses, and was very upset that the dog wouldn't come away from her nap to visit him. He was such a cute subject, too!

Little Blondie

This little blondie came to be photographed at the end of last school year for ballet portraits. Now I was able to photograph her again for the fall special. What a cutie!

She was so serious!
